Exceptional Recycled Vintage Bridal Wedding Gown With Hat and Veil.

A pre-owned recycled vintage wedding ballgown from 1974 with the body of the gown being of sheer fabric stitched to a satin lining is exceptional. Embroidered white eyelet trim on sheer fabric is stitched over it. The wide eyelet trim has white satin ribbon weaved in down the center. The trim down the center of the unlined short sleeves, down the center of the gown front and center skirt back has satin ribbon woven through it. Narrower matching trim on the sleeve edges, unlined collar and hem does not have the satin ribbon. There is a satin ribbon around the waist.

The satin lining has slight overall even age discoloration giving the gown a soft light cream color. This modest wedding gown has a high collar, square neckline in the back and front. Metal zipper. Stiffening is stitched to hem. Sleeves do not puff up at shoulders. Photos were taken with additional pouf slip which is not included in sale. This vintage bridal wedding gown has no under slips.

This size 10 wedding bridal gown measures: Bust 35.5. Waist 29. Length from underarm to hem at side seam 50". Train 18".

The matching hat and very full circular two tier veil is FREE with the purchase of the gown. The veiling measures about 23" blusher and 25" second tier at centers.

No defects were found. The gown is clean and unstained. The condition is excellent. Every once in awhile I come across a very exceptional wedding gown. This is one of those. It is ready to wear and very different. One of a kind. When it's gone it's gone. If you appreciate old textiles and craftsmanship don't let this one get away.
